Sept 18, 2010 ~ Yom Kippur.... And praying for the peace of Jerusalem!
When you’re a “watcher” , sometimes people (even fellow Christians) make fun of you & poke you in the stomach ~ or, maybe you only wish they did, as their hurtful words can be very painful. One of my best friends knows the rapture will happen ..... “Some day”..... But she sees it as way, way, WAAAAAY out there ~ never in our lifetime kind of deal.
As much as I care for her, I’ve just got to say it ~ when the Bible tells us TO watch and WHAT to watch for & people choose to ignore it, they are being “willfully ignorant”.
Other prophecy commentators (and forgive me for not giving proper credit –it’s 5 a.m. & my brain’s not working too well this early!) ~ Terry James may’ve been one, probably David Reagan, too ~ seemed there have been others ~ who’ve said that getting a “watcher’s crown” in heaven should be THEE easiest of all crowns to obtain & I’ve always agreed with that. Think about it though – maybe we actually DO *EARN* it ~ maybe Jesus knew it would be hard ~ or at least harder than we’d think ~ to get a watcher’s crown – because you often have to put up with painful mocking from those you are closest to!! Sometimes they need not SAY anything ~ but merely give you that steely-eyed glare, or do their doggone best to not roll those eyes!~ or get a smirky-smile on their faces, like “here we go again!”.... “Go ahead & ruin my daughter’s wedding, would you?! By bringing the rapture subject up!!”... {and no, I didn’t mention it right then!... I try to follow Holy Spirit discernment & realize that there is a *time and a place* to say such things...}
Look, Jesus endured mocking; Noah endured mocking ~ seems we’re in good company!! You learn pretty quickly just who you can mention it to & who you can’t. We are told to COMFORT each other with the words of our Blessed Hope ~ but obviously some (okay, most) do not accept it as “comfort”. Perhaps they think of it as condemnation? Perhaps subconsciously it makes them think of judgment ~ or that heaven’s gonna’ be “boring” & they have soooo much more “living” to do down here!!... So many more accomplishments to make... We’re after all, the gloom & doomers ~ (THEY often think!) as we project what we are looking forward to!
Remember, as a child, your playmate may’ve cupped his hands over his ears – if he does not hear it, you did not say it?! Well, the world as a whole, and Christians included, are cupping their hands over their ears right now!
While we cannot pinpoint the exact date of the Lord’s return, we know He is at the door. Let’s dare not catch ourselves being (in His sight) EVIL this close to the end! Yes ~ EVIL, because they say to themselves that the Lord is delaying His coming, so they (some) think they can get away with living like the world: (Luke 12:44-46 ) Let’s keep on keeping on anyway, as we do not want to lose our reward for all we have worked for. 2 John 1:8
I am not about to say the Lord DELAYS His coming!! And how about you?! I say yay for the joyful (earthly) weddings and such; but just because life goes merrily on for many in the world, and they think we’re gonna’ dig our heels in & be here for another 300 years ~ regardless of what they think - it’s not going to reduce my joy ~ I’ve got a WEDDING of my own to go to! Lord Jesus is at the door ~ it’s no time to snore!
Sept. 15, 2010 “Watchers” are likely aware that Mideast peace talks are well underway. This is not the time to be slacking off from watching. Do not get disgusted with those who continually set dates – the problem is not with them so much, IMHO, as it is with us for believing them & for continuing to read them.
I, too, would liked for the rapture to have happened by now, but nothing’s to stop me from pressing forward as I know that each new morning puts us ONE DAY CLOSER..... So close now! Let’s just do our best to not get caught up in supposed for-sure “dates”.
So while the peace talks were going on in Washington last week, Israel’s President Peres had gone to Rome to talk to the pope about Mideast peace…. I read the zenit article as far as I could till it cited the pope as being “The Holy Father” ~ in which case, I wanted to puke (literally!) and had to stop reading at that point. WHAT PURE BLASPHEMY!! I honestly do not see how anyone could remain in the RCC “religion” and not be sickened by that!
At any rate, ~ interesting, huh, that Mr. Peres thinks he needs to “check in” with the pope ~ to get his approval on things! One must wonder just what role the pope will have during the Tribulation. I personally do not think he will be the AntiChrist (though already carries THAT title: “Vicar”); and while at one time I considered the notion he could be the False Prophet, yet if Rome/The Vatican is to be wiped out sometime around mid-trib [per Revelation 16, 17]~ so all attention can be focused on the AntiChrist/”world ruler”, then it would make sense to me that *THEE* “False Prophet” will not be the pope ~ as clearly the false prophet is alive at the end of the Tribulation, so that the Lord can cast them both into hellfire.
Even so, I’m betting that the pope does have a role OF SOME KIND… ~ we may not know what exactly till staring over the balcony of heaven, huh?!
Finally, MidEast peace talks resumed on Sept. 14th….. and apparently they are going so well that Bibi is now scheduled to come to Washington this weekend.

When you couple in EVERYTHING else that is going on simultaneously ~ Iran getting their nuke bomb, the world being so very similar to Sodom, and life being as in the days of Noah, RFID chips ready, one world religion READY, one world economy READY, terrorism, extreme selfishness (seen even on the roads, biways and highways just merely trying to get to work!) floods, quakes, drought, unemployment, discouragement among Christians, pestilence & famine, ~ the end times list is practically endless, oh, and not to mention some who we thought were “solid Christian leaders” ~ yet they are falling right in line with the one world religion when they say things like – instead of praying in Jesus’ name {to avoid offending people} ~ they pray instead that God will “blend our faiths”, and yes, if you know to whom I’m referring, I’ve since tossed his books, as I figure he sold out once he claimed that Jesus was not the Messiah (again, didn’t want to offend his Jewish friends and rabbis) but this man seemed to have once been a rock-solid preacher with many followers, though he was very wrong about the prosperity gospel, et al
~~ at any rate, when ALL these signs are before us, with the most important one of all ~ serious talk even by the prolific leaders of Israel for Jerusalem to be divided ~ then it is time to LOOK UP …. Because we are literally GOING UP, and we know it’s getting sooner by the minute. The real true Christians (ones who are actively obeying & following Jesus) will be raptured soon.
All set dates & predictions thus far have been 100% WRONG, so we keep on planning with always a “God willing” attitude! ~ and keep on living ... Just as long as we do not tell our Lord we are TOO BUSY to come to that wedding! ~ when He decides to come for us!! (ref: Luke 14:16-20) So anyway, we keep on living, while knowing that our departure could be just any moment. JUST ANY MOMENT, Christian!! When we’ve come THIS CLOSE TO THE BRINK– with talk of dividing Jerusalem being in the final stages, it tells me we’re just a hair’s breath from being called up! The only thing holding back the Tribulation from starting is our still being here – that is HOW CLOSE we are to the rapture. Once the Church is removed, the AntiChrist can “CONFIRM” that covenant & then boom ~ it’s all underway.
Meantime, we should never “shelf our brain” to anyone – no matter what “GOOD” Christians they APPEAR to be…. they could be dead wrong!! ~ and if you follow them, you’re then only following them to the “place of the dead” ~on the BROAD road. I get concerned because “this close to the end”, some of the most precious people I know are starting to “back peddle”~ on things like Halloween {it’s ONLY *entertainment* ~ they claim ~ maybe because “people at work” who, BTW, name the name of Jesus… CELEBRATE Halloween & make a big thing out of it – in fact, it is their FAVORITE holiday of the entire year!} So yes, I get very concerned. This close to the end is NO TIME to be waffling or backsliding or thinking like the world!! Scripture tells us that those who “name the name of Jesus” are to DEPART from evil ~ however because they do not – is the very reason that M-A-N-Y will be cast into hell.

Look, I tend to be a serious person, but I’ll tell you there is one thing that I take more serious than ANYTHING in the world ~ and that is WHERE a person is going to spend eternity. Nothing, nothing, NOTHING else matters!! Because there’s no changing your mind or your heart once you are there.
And I could far easier handle someone’s physical death if I knew WITHOUT A DOUBT that his spiritual health was safe, in clinging to the Lord. But how does one “abide IN” Him, if never opening up a Bible? Always far too many other *things* that get in the way, huh? “…if ye continue in My word, then are ye my disciples indeed” John 8:31
... though none go with me, still I will follow ~ I am willing to go to heaven with or without my best friends because though I love them, I love Jesus more. And no, I am not casting judgment on who, among my friends, will or won’t make the rapture, but let’s just say it stays in the back of my mind in wondering & thinking about that. (Sad, but true, that most of even my “Christian” friends are truly *willfully ignorant* to the blaring/glaring signs of the times!!)
For some people ~ there is no amount of opening their eyes to the lateness of the hour, because for everything I may say, they may have some 20 “Christians” talk about their plans for retiring, or about life “50 years from now” or scoffing in some other way as they follow their own desires; and worse, the ones who CLAIM Jesus by name, but then celebrate what the world celebrates. … Remember friendship with the world is enmity against God. We are to BE SEPARATE. That does not mean we cannot enjoy GOOD, WHOLESOME God-ordained fun & amusement ~ we can, of course. But anything that is of the (d)evil is TOO DARK for us to even WANT to be a part of.
We’ve covered this 1000’s of times ~ not everyone who CALLS Jesus “Lord” is going to heaven. In fact, Scripture says the masses are not. And no, not everyone who believes in Him is necessarily going anywhere when the rapture horn sounds either. If everyone was worthy by merely believing in Him – then we would not be TOLD to PRAY ~~ “TO BE” accounted worthy to escape! There will be plenty of churched people left after the rapture who neglected to live for the Lord beforehand, so they will then have the opportunity to die for Him during the Tribulation. {the cowardly who fall in line with the AntiChrist regime & the way of the world & take the mark will be TORMENTED FOREVER & EVER..... Taking the mark will be absolutely UNFORGIVABLE, though many who take it will “explain away” why God could not possibly send someone to hell “just for that”! “Had to feed the kids”, right? I’ve already heard such baloney from APOSTATE pastors.... And this is BEFORE the Great Tribulation has even kicked in! I’m telling people now, an angel will fly through the heavens & tell people all over the world DURING the Tribulation + the 2 witnesses will constantly warn people; I’m sure the newly converted Christians will warn, plus the 144,000 converted Jewish witnesses. And most of all, READ THE BIBLE; it’s in there!!
The world just cannot go on at such a sustained feverish pitch for much longer without Spiritual intervention….. MARANATHA dear readers! Be comforted by y(our) blessed hope!! ~ the rapture IS soon!!
