March 17, 2009 A little over a week ago, there was “a certain world-acclaimed preacher” who was getting everyone up in arms about catastrophes coming upon us … we know horribly bad things are going to happen, but those sure sounds like trib events to me. And we must remember that the Lord did not give us the spirit of fear, but of love, and power, and a sound mind. May his peace rule and reign in your heart and your home even in these troubled times as this world gets closer and closer to the tribulation hour.
The Lord alone knows when it will be time to receive us unto Himself. My whole life, I’ve always loved Easter (yes, I realize the pagan roots, but let's not go there...for those of us who let it stand for Jesus’ resurrection... then plainly, I LOVE Easter…. Okay, let’s “call it” RESURRECTION DAY!! For surely we can all agree that Jesus did arise!!) And so, from my view point, it would surely be a wonderful season to “fly to the sky”. :)
Again, only the Lord knows... no, I am not suggesting this is when the rapture will be...I am just merely saying it would sure be awesome if it did happen some time around or close to that time. Does not hurt to remain hopeful...?
I realize that there has been SOO much prophetic news lately that I could have easily updated this site every day -- every hour in fact... but I have simply not been able to keep up, what with having a life and all… and life getting a little jagged lately... lots of headlines, deadlines, and many other (sometimes wonderful, sometimes not so wonderful DETOURS) & expectations.
So, while we do not know the exact day, [those who claim we CAN know have been wrong 100% of the time!] yet we can know we are heading home SOO very soon. I notice that even Todd and Terry of Rapture Ready are mentioning how close we are [a lot lately]... and of course, neither of them have ever been date setters. But when we look around and see all the signs, well you know how this story goes... smile! And I've been doing my best to keep busy lately... well, any of us can “keep busy”, but let’s just say I have been extra busy -- all the while hoping, … knowing the rapture is getting closer day by day.
Often I check various sites to get a little grasp of what is going on in the world... but I still cannot handle too much heavy news... just in that frame of mind where, in order to not be in strife or overly concerned about the cares of this life when it's time for Jesus to come [per Luke 21:34] I have to just keep on keeping on and continue on with life as ordinary as it is, & keep my life in balance, and pray that I am living in the center of His will; bringing glory to Him.
Again, I am reminded that Isaiah 17:5 surely sounds like it could be summer... Yet I think Scripture admonishes us to be watching at all times ~ in all seasons.
There are bits and pieces I hear of this world following apart, for instance, when certain men get into office and they put forth scary policies, plans, procedures…. then Maranatha--not only is it our Blessed Hope--it is our ONLY hope!! Pray that Jesus comes soon!! AMEN!!
P.S. ~ no sooner did I have this little update put together (a couple days ago, just was knocked offline & couldn’t post it) then my husband checked the Drudge headlines about how the Kremlin (of all places!) wants the world to have a SINGLE CURRENCY!! How can we NOT be looking UP right now??!!
From Joel Rosenberg: World leaders considering single currency amidst severe global economic crisis….
Folks ~ when this talk is common, ordinary talk of the day ~ it’s just about time to fly!!
Yesterday, while mentioning her husband’s business being extremely slow & worries of impending layoffs, a loved one tried to cheerily announce, “but we’ll RIDE THIS OUT” [note: same ones who think the pre-trib rapture is a figment of my overly active imagination…. In other words, they’re Catholics who do not believe in it….]
Maybe this is but a FORESHADOW of the greatest Depression of all time – which will happen during the Tribulation. Don’t forget, one of the first judgments is worldwide famine – caused by not having enough $ - as Rev. says it will cost a day’s wage just to buy one meal. … so it would only make sense right now for all the world to be in a topsy-turvy financial mess. Worldwide famine & tons of people dying from starvation: not a pretty picture for anyone; but for blood-bought, born again ABIDING IN THE VINE Christians, however, our Blessed Hope comes BEFORE then….before the worldwide famine to hit... Before any of the seals, plaques, judgments of Revelation come about. This is not to say we will not see tidbits of impending judgment on earth while we are yet here (quakes in DIVERSE places, wild wacky weather changes, etc. Etc.)
For the left behind world, their hope and faith will be manifested later — when they call out to Jesus to save them and, although martyred during the time of testing upon the WHOLE WORLD, but once in heaven they will never hunger or thirst again…… EVER!!! The Lord Himself will wipe away all their tears — they will never again experience any kind of sorrow.
Oh, one last thing – I’ve been suggesting that the greatest “financial bailout” could well happen after the rapture, when people line up to have $$ put into their “virtual accounts”….. well, hmm… maybe I’m not too far off base with that one, as a few weeks back I saw a “Shoe” comic talking about “virtual accounts” as well!!
The daily headlines are literally reading right out of Revelation. Whatever else is going on in life, BE WATCHING!! We’re about to hear “that horn” ~ we’re about to see Jesus!! Nothing, nothing, NOTHING gets any better than that!! :) Amen & Maranatha! Hope to soon see you on the other side!
March 20, 2009 Truly, the Church Age is about to END!! Headline on Drudge yesterday read that with Netanyahu preparing to take power, Israel is experiencing INTERNATIONAL ISOLATION!! …..Israel is being prepared for the Tribulation as ALL nations turn against them!
How sorrowful for what Jews {God’s chosen people!} will have to experience as they undergo such a time of testing, before finally, many will be saved. But we give thanks that in the end, many will be saved. We pray for Netanyahu; we pray for Israel; we pray for our own family, friends, and loved ones who will be left here for the time of testing that will come upon the whole world. May God’s will be done. Choose to live for Him TODAY!
March 31, 2009 Soo much happening in the prophetic news world! ~ hard to keep it all sorted out!
Netanyahu (Bibi) has just been sworn in as Israel’s PM (congrats, Bibi!) He promises “full peace” with the Muslims…. I’ve always liked that man ~ I pray for his peace & protection! May he come to know Yeshua as his Savior & Lord.
The G20 is getting underway tomorrow – will THE ANTICHRIST be there? I wouldn’t doubt it ~ in the least! Whoever he is ~ I think it’s a safe bet that “he” WILL be there!! April 1st (April Fool’s Day)~ what a “fitting” day for the G20 to meet!!
I wonder if God is having a good laugh over that? Psalm 2:4
Whenever any world leaders speak of Israel – other than condemning them, the talk is only about parting the land! ~ the “2 state solution”….. this will continue on till right after the rapture, when at some point it WILL be divided. If I understand the book of Joel correctly, this will happen DURING the Tribulation… which looks like this world is on the very hinges of right now… it is so quickly developing before our eyes...
I read LOTS of sources, and I think I got this bit from being on the email list from www.a-voice.org about the worldwide financial crisis & how people left behind will all fall head over heels in love with the AntiChrist – because it’s quite possible he could decide to CANCEL ALL THEIR DEBT (as they line up to receive his mark!) Now wouldn’t that be quite an inducement? Now, if I’ve gotten the source of that interesting insight wrong I apologize as, like I say, I read quite a bit & from several different sources. Paul Becker does a fine job; Jan Markell of Olive Tree Views is one of my top-notch news sources {and commentators!}.
I receive Israel Today; and I occasionally make the rounds to the boards that point me to other news sources. [come to think of it: maybe it was David Meyer of Last Trumpet Ministries who proposed this idea…? But anyway…]
Now, back to the “devil’s mark”: I used to think the mark [of the beast] would not be required till some where around closer to mid-trib; now I admit I’m not so sure ~ what with all the technology for it being ready RIGHT NOW. And of course, I expect you are well aware that all the world is now talking about WORLDWIDE CURRENCY!!! These just go hand in hand.
Perry Stone said he thinks Americans will fall for anything as long as the AntiChrist promises them 2 things: food and money. He’s right!
Oh ~ I got “that look” from my friend the other day….. you know the drill: Christian friend, who knows the rapture will happen SOME day…. But when I mentioned a movie about alien invasions & how this could easily explain away the rapture ~ she merely smiled with a twinkle in her eye like she was thinking: ”you poor thing! It’s all you ever think about, isn’t it? And you’ve been watching for the rapture for how long now….?” Yep – chuckles.. “that look”! Maybe the look was in thinking HOW GOOFY it will be for the world to really buy into the alien-abduction theory…. But hey, they’ll buy ANYTHING ELSE… but the love of the Truth, right…?!
I’ve always wondered if the Lord didn’t gift me with any in person rapture-watching friends – knowing that I wouldn’t get much of anything else accomplished! ..smile.. I am glad that one of my friends is now watching again though time does not permit us to communicate often.
Look, the Lord SAID “watch” ~ He never ever said to STOP watching – in fact, He tells us to watch more intently as we see the signs unfold…to exhort one another and to KNOW that our redemption is nigh!
Well…. Like I say ~ LOTS going on, hard to pick & choose just what to report on. Most generally I like to try to steer away from what could be perceived as conspiracy theories, but every now & then certain ones will catch my eye that I really start to wonder about. Like ~ I can’t but help to wonder if there was a “reason” (a greater reason than we know ~ perhaps the Lord intervened?!) ~ as to why digital TV will not “officially” kick off & be required till mid-June? Just thinking out loud here….
As far as "millions" having TV's & thus, it being difficult to "spy" on them?? Well, there will also be "millions" of left-behinders who will just LOVE to turn the "new" Christians in .... and what better way to do it than to spy on them thru' TV?
-- we already have spies/hackers on computers.... where EVERYTHING you type or look at on your computer be seen by them -- it could just as easily happen thru' a TV monitor!! Noo problem-o whatsoever!!
If everyone was digital, the government could override ANY programming…. Can you think of “anyone” who would want to do such a thing? That's part of socialism, right? Complete control over what the people do and see and say?
I know some aren’t buying it & that’s okay! None of us know with absolute accuracy how all this will play out. But we DO know that it’ll be easy for what used-to-be even the closest of families to turn on each other (and turn IN each other) during the Tribulation ~ so why not make it “super easy” with spying on people thru’ digital TV? Again, just my personal speculation; we simply don’t know for sure at this point. Cell phones can ALREADY be used this way in case you were not aware!! For real ~ they do not even have to be “ON” for everything you say to be picked up by them – you don’t even have to be standing right over it!
One thing I do know for certain: the powers & principalities of the heavenlies ARE
active & at work this late hour! Apostasy is in FULL SWING as satan rounds up a
good number of Laodicean “Christians” whom, God promises, to cast into the Great
Tribulation.
At any rate, MORE APOSTASY has swept this world by storm when "The Shack"
got into the hands of MILLIONS of people ~ who are simply adoring it! Go ahead &
call me rigid (I’ve been called worse!) I am interested in pleasing God, not man,
and what HE says is right or wrong according to His Word. churches now TEACH on
it.....
Interestingly enough, the book’s author does not believe the most basics of
Christiandom:
http://www.worldviewtimes.com/article.php/articleid-4743/Brannon-Howse/John-Lanagan
Further,
the author of “The Shack” has said that "we do know that God is not male or female".....
saw this quote for myself, in an advertising piece about a speaking engagement.
Got
NEWS for him: God is the "Father"
And Jesus dying on the cross as our substitution
is the very basics of Christianity.
The fact that people worldwide are swooning over
this book is further proof real Christians are *almost home*..... [the masses of
people are on the broad way, don’t forget…. So whenever the world as a whole falls
in love with something …. i.e.. Harry Potter; “Twilight”, etc….. you can pretty much
bet the farm that it’s ANTI-God!!]
So, people the world over are in love with this
story as the world sinks deeper & deeper into darkness.....
[and another sad thing
about it is ~ sooo many popular Christians do NOT use discernment!! ~ in knowing
who really belongs to Christ & who doesn't!}.... and often times, I can't help wondering
that even if they did use discernment, would they care anyway [about who was a TRUE
representative of Christ ~ or would they just do whatever necessary to further their
own careers...?] part is ultimately for the Lord to decide, but certainly it leaves
me wondering...
Yes, everyone’s raving about it!! EVEN PREACHERS!! But, It’s pure evil...
Here are excerpts my good friend, Essie, put together from articles written about
the "The Shack":
The Shack's author, William P. Young, conjures up God the Father
as a hip-talking, now-and-then crude black woman referred to as "Papa," Jesus as
a sometimes inept good ol' boy enamored with His humanity and creation, and the Holy
Spirit as a wisp of a woman from Asia, who gardens and collects tears.
The dialogue
Young has created for his fictional God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is
heretical and a defamation against the character of the Persons of the Godhead. For
example, Papa declares to the central figure, "Well, Mackenzie, don't just stand
there gawkin' with your mouth open like your pants are full." Jesus, who can't seem
to restrain his giggles and chuckles, after receiving a kiss from Papa and loving
"her" earthiness, declares, "She's a riot." "Mack's" interaction with his "trinity"
is part-time funfest, part-time inner healing and catharses, and part-time God explaining
Himself (which He left out of the Bible!), and all of it intermingled with hugs,
kisses, and other displays that reveal them to be so much like us.
In the Bible,
Jesus never referred God the Father in the form of a goddess. He never referred to
as “she” or “her.” Such references are not found anywhere in the Old or New Testaments.
The Shack’s Trinity is a black woman named Papa (supposedly god the father), a short
Jewish carpenter (“jesus”), and an Asian woman called Sarayu (holy spirit). Mack
Philips, the main character, is angry with “god the father” for the death of his
daughter, and angry with his own father over his upbringing. Mack meets with the
trinity in a remote shack in Oregon and the healing begins.
The Father-goddess tells
him, “Hasn’t it always been a problem to embrace me as your father? And after what
you’ve been through, you couldn’t very well handle a father right now, could you?”
This, on the surface, seems very kind and merciful—a god conforming to a likeness
a person will tolerate. Author William Young has stated Mack needed “for god to come
to him in a way that’s accessible.”[10] But acceptable is a far more accurate word.
In the novel, “sin” and “salvation” do not seem to have the Biblical meaning one
would naturally assume. In fact, “relationship” seems to be presented as if it were
salvation. Yet, Biblically speaking, there can be no relationship without salvation.
{insert my comments: I absolutely love this explanation!! ~ because I can’t believe that only a handful of years ago we were such featherheads that we joined & attended an extremely liberal church that taught relationships trumped rules & regulations! I believe this may’ve even been part of the church’s mission statement. Dear Readers: it turned out, that preacher who LOVED relationships was also (physically) loving on many women in the church! This may elicit smiles… but the Lord calls this adultery, He calls it fornication, He calls it willful sinning, and unless repented of….. there’s going to be a very hot spot waiting for that preacher for all eternity. It does not matter that he “named the name of Jesus” or preached incredibly awesome sermons – even quoting Scripture – about God! THIS is the VERY REASON I cannot stand to hear that Christianity is ALL ABOUT a “relationship with Jesus” ~ no it’s NOT.... Not unless repentance and salvation has been obtained FIRST!!
Okay, “preacher mode” off…… back to the subject at hand:]
In one of the most incredible
statements in the book, the “christ” of The Shack fails to proclaim salvation is
exclusively through him. The “christ” states, “I am the best way any human can relate
to Papa or Sarayu [holy spirit].”[11]
The best way? Young does not have his “jesus” say he is the only way, simply that
he is the best way. This is no minor point.
During one of his many presentations,
The Shack author William Young stated, “God is embedded in all of us.”[14] His novel
instructs, “God, who is the ground of all being, dwells in, around, and through all
things, ultimately emerging as the real—and any appearances that mask that reality
will fall away.”[15]
But God does not dwell in all people. According to the Bible,
sin has separated us from God. (Romans 3:23) Upon Salvation, God is not activated
or, as Young claims, “emerging.” The Holy Spirit comes to dwell only in those who
know Christ. Writing to believers, Paul states,
This link is to a really good read
on the subject.... The Shack
So when you hear your church-going friends raving about this… (even the ones who’ve been to “seminary”) ~ you know how liberal & apostate even they can be these days (and yes, sigh, seems so many seminaries are going by the popular choice & often times, even by way of the broad road....)..... but even so, I can't help wondering about the students, too....they have heads of their own, don’t they? Can’t they think for themselves? Apparently not...
Yes, necessary I suppose to aim for a "good grade" in school/seminary.....
However,
I'd certainly think it'd be even MORE important to aim to be a "good Berean" of Scripture!
~ and to know what Scripture really says. I’d drop out of that seminary college
any day rather than to purposely entrench myself in something that God’s Word says
is “falsely called knowledge”.
While the Bible doesn't speak (that I know of) of a
crown for being a good Berean ... I can't help wondering if maybe there will be;
as it sure seems pretty dadgum important to be one.... Psalms says that the Lord's
Word is esteemed EVEN ABOVE His name!! Any serious student of Scripture knows that
the Lord’s Name is to be praised continually ~ and if this is the case, yet His Word
is esteemed even greater??!!.....
Some great morning (noon or night) we’ll fly away and then the world can celebrate their “all hail their new world king day” (that um, would be similar to April Fool’s); they can celebrate their “earth day”; they can celebrate their “faith foundations” ~ in making the world a better place & all such blarney…
Do you have a hard time doing the “normal things” of life? Well, we’re to be in the center of the Lord’s will, whether that is witnessing, sitting at His feet worshipping Him, singing because we’re cheerful, praying because we’re hurt, encouraging others, working at being a good wife & homemaker, working for a living, whatever it is He has called us to do ~ just got to keep on keeping on with faith & patience … till that trumpet sounds!!
Romans 15:13 ~ Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
