Dear Christian reader friend: I do hope I’ve encouraged somebody “out there” along the way with this site..... though “life has gotten in the way” so many times from my coming back here to update, and for whatever reason (that I just can’t truly explain) my heart’s just not been into it much this year – though we’ve seen prophecy take many GIANT LEAPS FORWARD this year alone!
I truly believe Jesus’ coming is right at the door! And yet, for as fanatical and dogmatic (and yep, even “smug”) as some..... um, “MANY” Christian *watchers* are being right now.... I just cannot get into all the Rosh Hashanah “hoopla” that they are getting themselves worked into! Didn’t Jesus say He will come at a time LEAST expected?
The 7 Jewish feasts have always been FOR the Jews.... not for Christians. {Happy Rosh Hashanah for any Messianics out there!}
Look, those who are being so dad-gummed dogmatic right now will most likely consider me to be a cold-water tosser. But you know what?? ...“been there, done that” many, many, many, M-A-N-Y times!! ~ can see all the reasons that Jesus may ß BIG FAT “may”} come at Rosh Hashanah..... can also see all the reasons He may not! So I am purposely “not” getting myself into a frenzy or stir about it.... I am just continuing on with life as normal. There’s always the BIG LET DOWN & disappointment in everyone’s lives when Jesus does not show up when we expect Him to. Yes, we CAN “see the day approaching” ~ however we are not to know the exact time...
He said that NO ONE KNOWS the day or the hour ~ not the angels, not even Him, but ONLY the Father..... so for those who presume to calculate rapture dates, aren’t they saying they are actually smarter than Jesus? Rapture date predictions are VERY dangerous ~ as people tend to give up watching all together when they become so discouraged. Aren’t we to be “overcomers”? YES... We are! That means enduring to the end, that means being ready EVERY day.... watching and praying always ~ to be accounted worthy to escape the Tribulation and to stand before the Son of Man.
I hope Jesus comes this week..... but I also hoped He would come 10 years ago, too! Regardless of what someone may presume, I am not in love with this world, nor the things of this world ~ we are to have no attachments that would inspire us to “want to stay here”.... (think: “Mrs. Lot”!) We are to love the Lord more than any “thing” ~ more than anyone!
While others may dogmatically tell you that the rapture will be this week, this is still the Blessed Hope site, and I am here to pump you up..... to charge you to KEEP GOING.... in the event the rapture does not happen this 2011 Rosh Hashanah!!
If we should still happen to be here by 2012, my aim is to, once again, totally makeover this site. I wish I would have made it more just generic Biblical prophecy truths, rather than to inject so much commentary. So if the Lord directs me to do just that, I will.
We know, by all the signs, we don’t have much longer to wait.... What with the intense world pressure on Israel to give their land to the Palestinians. And...could it be that a heckler just pointed out the AC yesterday? Was there a reason it happened at this time? {so close to the rapture & all}
Well listen, from time to time I would recommend a site that, while I’d try to add a disclaimer in saying that I do not agree with “everything” there..... well, when it gets too goofy all the way around, then I must renounce ever having recommended it to start with. I will not give you the links here to inspire your curiosity (buried somewhere in my commentaries) but I will say that one, while an –otherwise- awesome Biblically correct teacher.... but more than that, his stance on women, wives in particular, leaves a lot to be desired. From what he believes & teaches ~ he’d just about have an unbelieving husband drag the Christian wife right down to hell along with him. I’d say I agree with close to 99% of what he writes, just do not agree with the way he chooses to handle *some* things. All in all though, I do look forward to (soon) meeting him in heaven, as he seems to stay [mostly] biblically on track. Even so...
Yet another preacher told his wife how to dress, how long to wear her dresses “because I told you to”, and claims she is..... get this!! ~ HIS PROPERTY!! Seriously – he really said this!! Like I told my own husband, I’d rather be married to an outright sinner than to someone who’s so “high and mighty” and thinks he’s so pious – a religious zealot (IDIOT is more like it!!) Why, I’d walk right out the door – and tell the idiot preacher that “his property is WALKING OFF”!! The super pious Pharisees are no different than the muslims ~ who also claim their wives are their *property*.
LISTEN!! A reminder that Scripture says that men are to LOVE their wives AS Christ loved the Church!! ~ Scripture also says that no one is to “lord” it over others. Men, you are to be KIND and GENTLE and LOVING and sensitive to your wife.
Another site I’ve previously recommended (when I find it in my archives, I will completely delete it) ~ though it’s true that we must be accounted worthy to escape (most all who consider themselves “christian” are not going ANYWHERE when the trumpet sounds simply because of the way they live their lives and they cannot be told apart ~ from the “world”!!).... but other than that, this blogger went “too far out there” because not only does he (unScripturally!) believe there are 2 raptures – when I can show there is ONE rapture before the Tribulation (our “Blessed Hope”) and one for the 2 witnesses at the end of the Tribulation ... however, the MULTITUDES of people in heaven (Rev. 7) get there by MARTYDOM!!! ~ NOT by a 2nd rapture. As though that’s not goofy enough, he also teaches that the Tribulation BEGAN in 2008!!! Uh ~ nooo, IT DID NOT!!
Sometimes makes you wonder how some people can be so right about so many things and so far off about others! At the same time, I realize we’re all on a journey, and learning the Bible as we go along ~ some are far more advanced and skilled in the word of righteousness, whereas many others (who SHOULD BE mature) ~ yet, they are just babes. Perhaps this is why the Lord said to not rip the tares up or wheat would be uprooted as well. Overall we should be able to tell who is a true Christian by looking at the “fruit” of their lives; but there will be those times when we absolutely cannot tell.
And just because someone has a sharp eagle-eye for discernment ~ discerning falsities in the ministry ~ it does not mean that everyone is there yet.
I may sometimes make a comment which I wholeheartedly believe at a certain point in my life, and then months or even years later, realize I was wrong about it.
Currently there is only one site I like to browse on occasion and again, we may not agree on everything, as I haven’t gotten too far into finding out his doctrinal beliefs (if he’s Baptist, then no doubt he believes in the fallacy of no matter how you live your life OSAS, though I don’t recall reading that on his site) ~ mostly he just speaks about watching. His name is Allan and his site is www.faithfully-watching.blogspot.com/ He’s not one to “lord it over” anybody. Sounds like the type my husband & I would both enjoy having as a friend.
Look, I know what it is to need a boost – a dose of encouragement when work gets so challenging, when the craziness of life itself overtakes us, and I too float around to the different prophecy mb’s to see what’s going on, but just BE CAREFUL right now is all ~ be careful of those who are so dogmatic and who just happen to KNOW what the Lord Himself didn’t know!! They’ll, of course, come up with a REASON for why it didn’t ~ then they’ll turn around & figure out it should be at Yom Kippur, or Hannukah, Christmas, Passover, or...Pentecost... Or back to summer again. Don’t you think this gets tiring & old? Pretty sure it could be any time, any day, any moment...
Today, pray that the Lord will protect us from wicked and unreasonable men!! ß Scriptural, BTW!! And since you & I know there are wicked & unreasonable men on every corner!! ~ then let’s keep our armor on!!
Don’t know about you, but I just came off one round of satanic attacks (he’s CRAFTY & CUNNING ... the MOST cunning creature there is!!) ~ and will ALWAYS hit where we are weakest!! So I just managed to get out of that trap, when BOOM..... hit with another (even weaker area) just recently!! I say boom.... b/c it literally just came out of nowhere!! I was so not expecting that!
But thankfully I know Scripture, I know what is Truth, I know what is right (or wrong) in God’s Eyes!! Boy, it takes some EFFORT, let me tell you – to keep casting down those thoughts!! Thoughts that elevate themselves above God, and to bring EVERY thought into obedience of Jesus Christ. Because it’s a BATTLE, a literal battle, where those thoughts come to our minds .... just one right after another....
Till Jesus comes, let’s walk around in our Ephesians Spiritual ARMOR!!! Being a true-born-again-wanting-to-please-the-Lord-with-our-conduct ~ in this world ~ is not for pansies!! ~ or the faint of heart! We are not to be cowards, but overcomers! Did you know that cowards go to hell? (look it up ... it’s in Revelation, though I think what that means is those, during the Tribulation, who were too cowardly to stand up to follow Jesus, and chose to take the mark to keep from starving or watching their children starve.... or were too cowardly to go to the gallows for their faith & choose to renounce the Lord in order to save their bodies.... which will ultimately mean losing BOTH their bodies & souls in the Lake of Fire) well, that’s how I’ve always thought of that verse anyway.
Keep watching! But also watch even more intently past this week.... in other words, do not give up!!
Thought: once we get to heaven, our watching days will be behind us, but the things we’ll be “graded on” will be having been in the Father’s will, what kind of work did we do for Him here? Did we live repentant lifestyles? Did we beat our spouses over the heads with a 2 X 4? Did we invest the time, talent, resources we were blessed with to increase heaven’s kingdom? Did we encourage others? Give the widows & orphans a helping hand? Did we even bother praying for others?
Sitting around “trying to figure out rapture dates” is likely not gonna’ cut it when we stand before Him and give an account of our lives!
Jesus IS coming soon. But even Elijah continued on with his life’s work even on the VERY DAY he was to be raptured!! Time we get off our fannies, eh? I’m not talking about “social gospel” here, trying to take on the world & feed & comfort it..... but I am talking about taking care of the “brethren” (y/our brothers & sisters in the Lord), and getting into Scripture to see what’s expected of us. No wonder so many “christians” will be left behind ~ too lazy.... or too busy... or zero interest....to even open a Bible! To see what the Lord wants of us.

Until He comes! ~ work until!! 1 Corinthians 15:58 Many of us may regret how we’ve lived our lives in the past, and absolutely no one gets “do overs” but we can have a good FINISH though!! BE steadfast, immovable, and *always abounding* in the work of the Lord....
