Nov 6, 2009 ~ Dear Christian watching friend ~ who is distressed at the news of today: Keep your eyes to the sky! ~ keep your ears cleaned out, listening for “dat-dear” horn! ~ and keep plenty of oil with you ~ that your lamp may stay brightly burning!!
I’m up fairly late ~ I’ve known that I need to update here – and sometimes (well, er, all too often) I just get behind! Too easy to get caught up with the routine of daily life & to get on the under side of being overwhelmed! And honestly, there is often SOO MUCH “end time news” to report ~ that it’s easy for me to figure what’s the point ~ I simply can’t keep up!
Well, anyway, to keep myself encouraged, I like to read some other blogs out there
& scan a couple of mb’s as time permits. One described pretty much how I feel: ready
and eager, sober, aching with longing to “be there”, TIRED, and SOO ready to leave
this world behind!! [thanks, “Charity” though I never post at the mb there, I scan-read
from time to time] Can anyone out there echo an “AMEN” to these feelings? More
from this encourager: Personally, I HAVE to live day-by-day as if "now is the time!"
Otherwise I don't think I could wake up and face each day. The evil is making my
spirit feel sick all the time. [insert: My AMEN!!] The longing for my Jesus is
just too great to even consider that his coming may yet be a long ways off.
And if
it does end up being a while yet, well, He is our strength and He will uphold us!
However, I believe He has been TELLING us (and all who are diligently seeking His
appearing) that His coming is TRULY IMMINENT!!!!!!!!!!!
Some verses to keep in the
forefront of our minds, as "watchers"...
Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do
not know when the appointed time will come.
"It is like a man away on a journey,
who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one
his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert.
"Therefore, be on the
alert--for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the
evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning-- in case he should
come suddenly and find you asleep.
"What I say to you I say to all, 'Be on the alert!'"
(Mark 13:33-37)
Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation
and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly
like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth.
"But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape
all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."

In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to
me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8)

Now, my further comments:
Here it is – my bedtime, and I realized very few ~ if any ~ mb’s out there are encouraging to read right now. I’m reading about how Pelosi care is going to force every American to pay $15,000. for a health care plan – and if you do not buy it – you are then fined $250,000. and/or sent off to prison!!! DUH and HELLO???? Some people just barely make $15,000 ~ or even if they make say in the ‘20’s or ‘30s ~ or even ‘40s…. I suppose they’re just supposed to forego housing, food, clothing & life’s essentials & fork over $15. grand? And yet, if they can’t afford that – they will then be fined an astronomical quarter of a million?? This is simply beyond words!! Beyond reasoning! If they cannot afford $15K, then they certainly cannot afford a quarter of a million. You are just throwing this country further into recession. Boy!! ~ try to sleep after reading that! Well, let’s try to not get too caught up in all the distress that is on this planet right now … we’re leaving here soon!! Our [forever] retirement plan is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!
Oh, and dear fellow Americans – just in case you wondered if there would ever be suicide bombers here…. Well, that has started as well (Ft. Hood tragedy) ~ and just because the murderer did not kill himself ~ he sure fit the bill in all other ways…. Likely would have gotten around to killing himself after adding more murders to his tally. Just like his father, the devil ~ wants to destroy as many lives as possible!!
Okay, a couple more things – one, Terry James wanted to remind us that “we are not there yet” ~ well, no, um ~ of course, we’re not…. Because by the time we ARE there – we’ll ALREADY be IN heaven!!!! But sure seems we are right on the verge!! I rather like Hal Lindsay’s stance in which he said he cannot believe we are still here! [and no, posties that does not prove you are right! ~ because you’re not! It only means the Lord is taking us closer & closer up to the starting gun ~ as I’ve said before, closer to the time of the signing of the confirmation…. But the pre-trib rapture for those abiding IN THE VINE will happen before then.
Good book to read: “Rapture, a Reward for Readiness” by Dr. Ray Brubaker. He makes it abundantly, Scripturally clear as to why a few will be taken and millions will be left behind. Which side are you on? For Jesus ~ or against Him? Obedient? Or disobedient? Do you love what HE loves ~ and hate what HE hates? Do you like to wallow in the way of the world ~ and expect to go in the rapture?
And another mb commentator would like to remind people to not get all excited – “pinning the tail on the (potential) AntiChrist” – should the EU perm. President be elected in these coming days. [is that advice only fitting if the guy being elected does not line up with your suspect?] heh ~ apologies…. As I’m in a prickly-feeling mood this evening. “wink” ~ I’m just having a lil’ fun.
Absolutely none of us know who the AC will be {on THIS side of the rapture} ~ nor should we even care too much. We’re human though ~ we like to speculate, in part because if he is among us already NOW, then we know our trip to our forever Home must be so very close. Gives us reason to keep hoping in our Blessed Hope.
Regarding the AC’s identity: We can speculate till the cows come home ~ or till we’re called Home ~ which I pray with all my heart will be SOON!! November sounds like a mighty good month to me! Let’s HOPE!! And happy Thanksgiving, unless we should meet before then! {oh, and a postscript to Halloween even though it’s (whew) over with for this year ~ even so this is good advice: BEWARE because the devil’s tricks are NO treat!}
His Word is our SWORD!! And we need to turn off the TV & talk radio ~ probably more now than ever before (do not misconstrue, I am not totally against it, only when it consumes us & gets us, keeps us, or puts us into fear!!!) The Lord did not give us the spirit of fear; and we owe it to ourselves to not think on things that will agitate & put fear into us. Keep your WHOLE armor on, Christian!! Let’s not waiver this close to the finish line!!
